In 1978, Bill McLawhorn — the “B” in B’s — gave up farming and bought what had been a convenience store just inside Greenville’s city limits. He and his wife, Peggy, came up with the recipe for the sauce. They both started cooking barbecue out back and serving it up front. You won't find any telephones or take-out menus here, but there is plenty of whole-hog goodness. This restaurant is on The North Carolina Barbecue Society Historic Trail.
Can't-Miss Menu Item: Corn sticks
Tuesday-Saturday, 10 a.m.-2 p.m. or until barbecue runs out.
