Hill's Lexington Barbecue
When Joe Allen, opened Hill’s in 1951, there were just a few barbecue restaurants in Winston-Salem, and none of them served pork in the style now known as Lexington. People left town to get their barbecue fix. He saw an opportunity. Over the course of 60 years, Hill's has established itself as a third-generation family business. This restaurant is on The North Carolina Barbecue Society Historic Trail.
